Learning how to make Japanese Mochi.
Make it, taste it, enjoy it!
About this Event

Wagashi are traditional Japanese sweet delicacies commonly enjoyed with green tea.

In this workshop, you will learn how to make Mochi dough and fillings with Minako from the Sakura Japanese Culture Centre. You will make about 6 Mochi(3 flavors, 2each)and recieve the recipe.

Filling Flavor

  • Strawberries and red bean paste
  • Black sesame seeds and white bean paste
  • Chocolate ganache

Matcha green tea will be offered after the lesson to enjoy with the Mochi.


Ingredients: Glutinous rice flour(it's gluten-free, despite its name), Sugar, Adzuki beans, Strawberries, White beans, Black sesame seeds, Chocolate and Cream


Mochi is gluten-free and vegan friendly. (It contains milk and cream for the chocolate filling. If you wish to not have it, please leave a note)
