An amazing April is ahead as we celebrate National Poetry Month at Mocha Mic with Millie at Fruiti Fi. The tribe of scribes and good vibes are back 4/1823 as we welcome four stellar poets, ready to share their artistry as we commemorate this special month.
Writing since 2018 and performing since 2022 Scoop the Prophet is a rapper and current spoken word artist from Paterson, NJ who covers topics of depression, grief, and anxiety.
Manijeh is a Queens-based educator, entrepreneur, author, and poet that seeks to release her feelings to maintain an open heart.
Brian Acosta Arya is an actor, writer, comedian, content creator and motel manager from North Bergen who does “visual poetry” about his life and amassed a million followers across social media.
Hailing from Queens but currently based in Bayonne, NJ, Anna Indelicato is a poet and system designer who is inspired by leaving this world a better place through her words and life experiences.
Join us at Fruiti Fi, located at 400 Claremont Ave, Jersey City, NJ 07304. Doors open at 6:00 PM, with the event commencing promptly at 6:30 PM. Free parking is across the street. Expressions by MowZus Baugh will be capturing the event through video and Dylan Smith will be taking photos of the festivities. Bring your favorite beverages as we are BYOB & indulge in delicious cuisine from Amped Panadas or try other snacks available for purchase. We also have Mocha Mic with Millie journals and shirts available for purchase. Half the proceeds from all shirt and journal sales will be donated.
