About this Event

Black History Month is hereβ€”but Black history is 365, alive in every story, every street, and every heartbeat of our world. ✊🏾

This month, Mocha Mic with Millie: On the Move is coming to Hoboken, partnering with the Hoboken Historical Museum for Poetic Pages: Where Black Poets Speak πŸ“–πŸ–€β€”a special tier of Mocha Mic that uplifts Black poets, preserves their stories, and creates space for connection and reflection. I’m thrilled to partner with Poet-in-Residence Danny Shot for this celebration of artistry and storytelling. 🀝✨

We’ll feature three incredible local published Black poets sharing their publishing journeys, creative processes, and the depth of Black experience through their work.
