MOCA Jax hosts this workshop for adults led by a local artist.
About this Event

Hosted at MOCA Jacksonville, this three-hour class led by visiting instructors Danielle and Ian Cleary of Heartspace Art focuses on one of the most essential skills in mural making and large-scale art: scaling and image transfer. Designed for high school students and adults of all experience levels, the course will introduce three different methods for transferring imagery at scale, with hands-on instruction and the opportunity for each participant to practice one method. Working indoors on large sheets of paper or similar materials provided by the instructors, students will create their own scaled works to take home. Offered in conjunction with Project Atrium: Muralists in Action, this class provides practical insight into the techniques and processes used in timely mural development by experienced local muralists.

Studio Practice is a monthly series of hands-on, practical art classes where students of all levels learn to create in varying media with the instruction of a local artist. Open to adults and teens in the company of an adult.

Danielle Cleary – Founder

Creativity flows out of my heart space. I am a native of Jacksonville Beach, Florida and so are the three generations before me. I am so thankful for the Jacksonville Art Community and its art walks where I launched my career. I have traveled the United States and even internationally learning, teaching, and creating art. I am a natural networker and I am often called the most passionate person in the room. I am a creative in all things I do. I believe that everyone has creative potential, and I inspire people to see it within themselves. With Heartspace Art, I am an artist, founder, & I am currently focused on Heartspace's public relations.

Ian Cleary – Founder

My expression is a growth experience. I am always learning and exploring. My guiding principles are truth and fairness. My life journey has been the pursuit of excellence in every element of my personal and business life. My super power is the ability to learn anything, an inventive mind, and my expertise have been gained over a lifetime of multidisciplinary fieldwork. I am seeking mastery over my craft. With Heartspace Art, I am an artist, a founder & I am currently focused on making our products the industry standard; especially in the form of art that inspires awe and wonder!
