The Sentara RMH mobile Mammography van will be at the New Market Community Center on November 21st, 2025 from 8 am-4 pm offering by-appointment screenings. Please call Sentara Patient Scheduling at 540-689-6000 to schedule an appointment.
They do offer programs to assist with payment options as needed. Please note: there are a few sets to get up into the van, that a patient must be able to climb for their appointment. These same services are offered at their brick-and-mortar screening locations as well.
As stated on the Sentara flyer- 'A breast x-ray, known as a mammogram, is the best way to find cancer in its earliest stages- up to two years before it can be felt. If breast cancer is detected early, 90 percent of women can be treated successfully. All women aged 40 or over should have a mammogram every year.'
