About this Event

A Note About Ticket Types:

There are three different Ticket Types. You will need to choose the appropriate one in order to register.

WA State Weatherization (WX) Agency, Tribal, or WA State Department of Commerce Staff: Those who are employees of a Commerce-recognized WA State Wx Agency, a staff member of one of WA State's Tribes (with approval by Commerce), or Commerce staff. The list of Commerce-recognized WA State Weatherization Agencies can be viewed here.

WA State Wx Agency-Associated Contractor: Contractors working under one of the WA State Wx Agencies (see above). At registration, you will be required to list the WA State Wx Agency(ies) you are associated with.

General Public/Non-Associated Contractor: Those who neither work for nor under (as a contractor) one of the WA State Wx Agencies (see above).



Mobile Home Retrofits

CEUs: 13

This three (3) day course is designed to provide Weatherization staff the background and foundation of information to understand how to weatherize a mobile home. Each attendee will participate in hands-on training, participate in discussions, and complete written assessments. All training will be in accordance with relevant State Standards, Standard Work Specifications Field Guide for Single Family and Manufactured Homes and industry best practice.

Attendees must come prepared to do hands-on work on a Mobile Home.

Course Objectives:

  • Visually identify pressure and thermal boundary problems with the mobile home
  • Use diagnostic tools to analyze the extent of pressure and thermal boundary work to be done
  • Identify and implement measures to fix the pressure and thermal boundaries
  • Use diagnostic tools to confirm completion of the pressure and thermal boundary work

Course Requirements:

  • Ability to work in confined space, outside, operate hand and power tools.
  • Expectation of engagement, participation, and contribution throughout the class.

Assessments:

  • Final Assessment – 25 question test of knowledge at the end of the class
