MMS Parent Education: The Four Planes of Development

Montessori education is grounded in the Four Planes of Development, which identify the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social milestones children progress through at each stage. In a Montessori school, the entire educational experience--classroom environment, materials, and curriculum--is specifically prepared to support optimal learning at each stage.

Wednesday, November 6 | 4:30 p.m. | Toddler and Primary (First Plane of Development)
Thursday, November 7 | 4:30 p.m.| Lower/Upper Elementary (Second Plane of Development)
Friday, November 8 | 11:00 a.m. | Middle School (Third Plane of Development)
(Fourth Plane of Development is adult/maturity.)
Parent education and involvement is an important component of our total education experience at MMS.
