About this Event
On MLK Day, all people are called to work alongside their neighbors for a day of civic engagement to help build stronger and more equitable communities. Volunteer with CCRCD and local garden steward Paula Kristovich at the Richmond Greenway for a day of garden maintenance and family-friendly arts and crafts. Come to get your hands dirty helping to maintain and beautify our gardens, or bring your kids to learn about native plants and paint signs for our pollinator patch!
There will be events taking place throughout the Greenway, including other volunteer opportunities, educational tables, music, food, and more family-friendly fun! Stay for a memorial & community celebration of Martin Luther King's legacy at Unity Park (16th St./Greenway). Free lunch while it lasts; food trucks also on site.
CCRCD’s volunteer activity will take place from 9:00 - 11:00 AM on the Greenway, and the memorial and celebration will take place from 11:30AM - 1PM at Unity Park.
