MLK Day Litter Pickup

Alabama Environmental Council is cleaning up George Ward Park in the Glen Iris neighborhood!

What we encourage volunteers to wear/bring:

1. Comfortable clothing that you do not mind getting a little wet or dirty (bundle up!)

2. Closed-toed shoes

3. Water

4. Sun protection (hats, sunglasses, sunscreen)

What we will provide:

1. Garbage bags
2. Gloves
3. Litter Pickers
4. Safety vests

We'll meet at 8:30 a.m. at George Ward Park for a brief safety talk and to get everyone the supplies they need. If you have your own gloves, feel free to bring them. We suggest bringing a small backpack to carry any needed personal supplies while you're walking.
