In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King’s work, The Arc of Harrisonburg and Rockingham (HR) is hosting a free food distribution for everyone in the Harrisonburg and Rockingham community on Friday, January 31.Join us between 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM at the historic Lucy F. Simms Center for our opening ceremony in the auditorium, where we will honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., celebrate the historical significance of the Lucy F. Simms Center, and recognize the impactful volunteer efforts of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and the staff of The Arc of Harrisonburg and Rockingham. We are thrilled to welcome Southside Chicago-born CEO, poet, orator, music producer, DJ, and performing artist Ronnie Brandon, also known as iRon Lion, who will deliver Dr. King's iconic "I Have a Dream" speech. It’s an honor to have Mr. Brandon join us for this special occasion!

This is a convenient drive-through food pick-up, so stop by anytime between 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM at the parking lot of The Lucy F.
