Join us at the Two Mississippi Museums to celebrate the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. on Monday, January 19, for the MLK Celebration free weekend sponsored by FedEx. As part of the MLK Night of Culture, Amanda Furdge will host artistic performances by invited guests at 6 p.m., followed by a theatrical performance by Meridian High School. The play, “A Carefully Calculated Murder,” is based on the true story of the June 1964 murders of three civil rights workers: James Chaney, Michael Schwerner, and Andrew Goodman. This program will take place in the Craig H. Neilsen Auditorium and is free to the public. For more information on the extended MLK Weekend Celebration, visit https://www.mdah.ms.gov/mlk2026.
