Now in our BIG TENTH year, hands down the most unique art shopping experience in Milwaukee. A grassroots event established in 2016, by a small collection of local makers has grown into a collaborative annual event featuring 115 local artisans who's goal is to make this ONE DAY A YEAR, the day, that we say THANK YOU to our patrons for their amazing continued support, in a big BIG way.
Our Big 10 event will be held at the Bavarian Bierhaus, one of the largest German complexes in the United States, with the entire facility recently renovated to emulate the great bier halls of Munich, Germany! The restaurant will be open to the public with their full menu pumping pretzels, polka, bier and more!
At Destash, makers will be selling their slightly flawed, out of season, overstock and odd lot ART AND SUPPLIES at amazing discounts. Some makers create Mystery Bags with assorted surprises in them, some make a unique limited edition product available at Destash only, some sell off their prototype pieces, some have pottery with tiny imperfections, some have perfectly pristine prints with only a tiny bend on the corner, some make great big balls with their soap ends. It's a friendly unique mish-mash that's always different every year.
Destash will take place in TWO BUILDINGS on the Bavarian Bierhaus complex. And will have TWO ENTRY LINES, one at Main Building and one at Fest Hall. The first 400 patrons through the door will receive a hand decorated shopping tote - decorated by the families of the makers who participate in Destash! We also offer the first 400 patrons a complimentary beverage - bloody mary, mimosa or coffee. Beverages will be served first come first served at these 3 locations: Main Building at Tap Room and LL Rathskeller Bars also inside the Fest Hall entrance.
Willkommen!! Meander through the large Main Building to find 65 vendors, spread between two floors and 4 rooms: The King's Room, The Tap Room, The Banquet Hall and the Rathskeller. Full service restaurant plus two full service bars, indoor bathrooms and all that warm fuzzy Bavarian vibe.
Just a short walk down to the Fest Hall and you'll find a whole different atmosphere to enjoy with another 65 awesome vendors, live Polka Band setting the tone, let the kids belly up to free kids crafts sponsored by local businesses, order fresh swirled cotton candy in the flavor of your choice. A selection of beverages will be served in the Fest Hall. (Porter potties in Fest Hall.)
Strollers are welcome but restricted to Fest Hall only.
Handicap Accessible - Main building -Upper Level and Fest Hall are easily accessible. Main Building Lower Level, request assistance to side entrance ramp.
Large adjacent lot with free parking.
