A Movement Foundations Course for all Movement Enthusiasts incl. Martial Artists, Dancers, PT's, Athletes and anyone else who seeks to learn, experience and thrive.Each Sunday throughout October we'll focus on a different aspect of a full body and holistic Movement practice.
Each session will lead through both inner and outer practices to facilitate an embodied movement practice such as:
- Longevity Practices to support you in doing what you love sustainably
- Mobility Exercises
- Focus and Awareness Practices
- Coordinations
- Improvisations
- Locomotions
- Quadrupedal Exercises
Immerse yourself in the practice to foster a hightened sense of awareness of your Self.
4 Sessions to explore the foundations of movement on different planes and levels.
The course offers the opportunity to explore your body and Self in a dedicated space that encourages active learning, inner and outer practices and how to grow fully present and focused.
We will cover movement on the floor, quadrupedal movement, jumps and kicks and connecting/integration of the moves.
Week 1: -Connect- (6th Oct)
Foundational Movement Practice - How to prepare the body for training and towards longevity. Coordination Drills, Mobility Exercises
Week 2: -Explore- (13th Oct)
Letting you down - Making friends with the floor
Movement and Sequences on all fours and the floor.
Week 3: -Expand- (20th Oct)
Lifting you up - Making friends with the unknown
Dynamic Movement & Sequences such as jumps, rotations and kicks
Week 4: -Integrate- (27th)
Integrate Learnings to inform a playful open, full body movement practice
Sessions can be booked individually.
