We will be working with several media to create 3 separate one of a kind pieces. There will be two large projects that we will work on most of the duration of the camp and we will have a third smaller piece. I will teach collage techniques, acrylic paint layering, several different methods for pattern making of images, sealing the piece, and if there is time perhaps even framing!We will start our days off together with a mindful circle, some movement, yoga and learning to hear and follow intuition.
Day 1: Magazine collage mixed media piece on wood sanding and prepping the surface, searching magazines and print materials and making selections.
Day 2: Gluing, enhancing and sealing our piece.
Day 3: Mixed media collage with cardboard silhouette on wood Prepping the background for our second mixed media piece. (After Touch ups on the first piece)
Day 4. Pattern making and cutting out chosen silhouette
Day 5. Small mixed media Fabric and paint on wood! The beauty of mixed media art is that there are so many techniques!
