About this Event
Please join Artist and Doll-maker, Francine Haskins, for a doll-making workshop with hand-stitched soft sculpture, mixed-media fiber dolls. Participants will use fabric, yarn, and a mixture of adornments to create their dolls. Dolls are created to tell a triumphant story of their life or the life of someone they know. Basic sewing knowledge is helpful but not required. Spaces are limited. Registration is required.
Francine Haskins, a D.C. native, is an American multi-media fiber artist and book illustrator. She was one of the original founders of 1800 Belmont Arts, an African- American black art collective in Washington, D.C.
