NEW ROCK SYNDICATE
Masami Kawaguchi is one of the finest psych rock guitarists to emerge from Japan this century. As well as being a solo performer and playing in bands with members of Les Rallizes Denudes and Acid Mothers Temple, Masami has established his own band, New Rock Syndicate. Masami has a strong Australian connection also having recorded with Radio Birdman's Deniz Tek, Penny Ikinger and The Scientists' Kim Salmon.
New Rock Syndicate has released 8 albums via European, US, Australian, New Zealand and Japanese labels. This Autumn they tour Australia with a rhythm section made up of Rocket Science's Dave Gray and Fraudband's Don Drum - the lineup that has recorded the most recent New Rock Syndicate releases.

MATRIARCH is a four-piece femme punk/grunge band from Ngunnawal country/Canberra, Australia. Debuting in 2020, the band is known for its clever songwriting and gutsy live performances and has a growing fan base in Australia and overseas. Matriarch has played venues up and down the east coast of Australia including various political rallies such as the massive March4Justice rally at Parliament House in 2021. They have released two EPs, Messy House (2021) and Medusa (2023) with a third EP due for release this year. They are proudly intersectional, inclusive, loud and political.
