Join us for the 27th annual Mitchell's Run thru Rockford! Taking place Saturday, Aug. 23, there is a 5K walk/run as well as a Kids K. The 5K starts at 8:30am.
The Kids K starts at 9:30am.
100% of proceeds are donated to Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy.
Starting on the Bridge Street Bridge, the race loops through downtown Rockford, then along Rouge River on White Pine Trail, finishing on historic Squires Street.
Mitchell's Run Thru Rockford (MRTR) is a USAT & F certified 5K Run/Walk course. Using the latest scoring technology powered by Classic Race Management, MRTR includes accurate splits at each mile and finish times. Parking, medical assistance, and restrooms are available on S. Squire Street. Designated race day parking is available on Courtland Street. Attendants will direct you. Designated race day handicap parking is also available. A variety of post-race food is provided just beyond the finish line to help you refuel and rehydrate.
Packet pick-up is Friday, August 22rd, 4:30-7:00 pm at the Rockford Pavilion. Late packet pick-up is Saturday, August 24th, from 7:00-8:00 am next to the downtown Rockford pavilion off S Squire Street.
First time running Mitchell's Run this year? Here's our 5K course! Each year we start the race right on Bridge Street overlooking the Rockford Dam, followed by winding through downtown, then back down the White Pine Trail.
A few reminders while we have your attention:
📣:Our mobile silent auction is NOW LIVE! Anyone can bid on the amazing items we have whether or not you're participating in the run. Even if you're supporting from around the country!
The auction is live until 9:59am on race morning, Saturday, 8/23. Winners can receive their package at the 10am awards ceremony on site, or we will contact winners to arrange shipping/where to pick up.

👶: Strollers are allowed on the 5K course! We just ask you start towards the back of the corral.
❌🐶: While we love dogs, we cannot have them participate on the course. But we're sure they'd love training with you!
🍦🍻: We have AMAZING sponsors, and The Pump House Rockford and Third Nature Brewing Company will be on your race bib and giving a special treat! Don't forget to keep that bib!
🏅👕: Whether you participate in the 5K or the kids K, each participant will receive a medal and race t-shirt!

✉️: NEW THIS YEAR! Packet Pickup will be at the downtown Rockford Pavilion on Friday, 8/22 from 4:30pm-7pm. Keep an eye out for more info coming on other things happening that Friday afternoon/evening...and plan to stay and play in downtown Rockford!
