This 20-piece band has been one of the resources of the Cedar Valley for the past 30 years, playing, preserving, and celebrating the music of Basie, Ellington, and others who inspired people around the world during a difficult time in history. The Cedar Valley Big Band is strictly a philanthropic group that donates proceeds from their performances to area schools to promote jazz studies.
