Mitch traveled the world writing music and performing with the late Rich Mullins. Special Guests ExchangedMitch’s live show is MacGyver meets Mark Twain, with stories of real life, hope, and love woven into songs performed on multiple instruments and a junkyard drum set that features kitchen items, a hubcap, and a pink plastic yard flamingo affectionately known as “Flossie” among other things. The stories behind the songs are funny and touching, and only serve to add even more punch to the songs.
Mitch has performed in over 1800 concerts in 49 states and 13 countries since 1998, while recording 11 albums and an “In Concert” DVD, and being featured in compilations with the likes of Leigh Nash (Sixpence), Kevin Max, Michael Tate, Jars of Clay, Andrew Peterson, and others.
Mitch got his start alongside the late, great Rich Mullins, writing, touring, and living with Rich. Rich’s musical and lyrical sensibilities influenced Mitch’s writing and performing style. Mitch was then in the car wreck that killed Rich, and he was critically injured and in a coma. Through the extensive recovery, he had to learn to eat, drink, walk, and talk again, but quickly after doing so resumed writing, eventually working back to recording and touring.
