Houston-raised pianist Paul Cornish carries the HSPVA lineage (Jason Moran, Robert Glasper, Eric Harland, Kendrick Scott, Chris Dave, Walter Smith III, James Francies) into the now. A Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz fellow (one of seven worldwide) with a master’s from UCLA, and a 2023 finalist for both the American Pianists Awards and the Herbie Hancock International Jazz Piano Competition, Paul has toured and recorded with Joshua Redman, Louis Cole, Mark Guiliana, HAIM, Snoh Aalegra, Terrace Martin, Kanye West, and more—always chasing freedom in the music and collaboration in the room.🎹 THE SOUND IS CINEMATIC
