Here it is, the event you've been waiting for! Please read it all!If you have ever wanted to know more about tracking with dogs for game recovery, or you are already a tracker and want to become a better team, then this is THE event you want to attend! Each year, we do our best to put on the best event in the country, and this year is no different. We will be bringing in the top judges, trackers, and dog handlers in the nation, who will be your instructors. The weekend will be packed with lectures, dog handling, auctions, merch, and an overall great time connecting with other trackers.
-Whether you have an old dog, young pup or even no dog yet, everyone is welcome and there are no breed snobs here.
-Topics will include basic and advanced tracking, managing difficult tracks, obedience training, puppy training, shot placement/anatomy, in depth discussions on how dogs work scent, and our popular round table discussion, and tons more!
We have several new seminars/classes and new instructors this year. The class schedule is also lighter, allowing for more time to connect and hang out with other trackers.
- Each person will be part of a small group that is assigned to a judge or pro tracker for the dog handling portions.
The auction and raffle this year are going to be awesome!! We will make some announcements soon!
-Kids 15 and under are free!
-Your spot is reserved only after payment is made, which you can now conveniently do at time of registration. Again, you must pay before we hold your spot.
-This is a great time to consider joining United Blood Trackers. You will receive a discount on your testing fee, and will be supporting a great organization. The link to their website will be posted below.
- The symposium will be held on March 28th, 29th, & 30th, at Meramec State Park in Sullivan, MO.
- The park cabins and camp grounds may be open this year, but we will not know until a week or two before the event depending on weather, and if the park is able to open everything up.
- Sullivan, MO is only 5 min away and has multiple pet friendly hotels. You are responsible to book and pay for lodging on your own.
We are in the process of deciding our food options because we would like some other choices for everyone, so stay tuned.
- Registration/ check-in will be on Friday from 7:30-9am. Then we will immediately begin our day!
Saturday begins at 8:00am. Each day typically ends around 5:00pm
Sunday will be testing all day(must register and pay for this)
-It is on track(no pun intended) to be the best symposium we've ever had, and we are looking forward to it.
