3 times British Blues Awards nominee Mississippi MacDonald comes to the Cross Keys with his band to deliver some quality blues and blues rock music. Since picking up the guitar at 11 years old Oliver (Mississippi is a nickname he picked up at school) has immersed himself in the blues. Taf Rock for MPM said 'Mississippi MacDonald doesn’t just sing the blues, he doesn’t just play the blues, he knows and feels the blues.'
Citing blues legends such as Albert King, Albert Collins and Freddie King amongst his influences it comes as no surprise that MacDonald consistently produces high quality soulful blues with some skilful, driving guitar.
