We've teamed up with Metalworks Studios, Long & McQuade (Mississauga), Mississauga Arts Council and Hazel McCallion Foundation, to provide an exciting opportunity for youth performers (ages 12 to 19 as of January 1st, 2025) from Mississauga to take the stage in a festival atmosphere at our 27th Annual Tim Hortons Southside Shuffle Blues & Jazz Festival. This is your chance to shine at one of Canada’s premier music festivals, where a jury will select five competitors from the registrants to perform on the festival's South Stage in the Free Area of Memorial Park on Saturday, September 6th, 2025, between 12:30 PM and 2:00 PM, with each act performing a 15-minute set.
🏆 Competitors will have a chance to win a recording session at Metalworks Studios, along with fabulous prizes from Long & McQuade! All performers will receive a free subscription to SoundsUnite, Metalworks’ new online music platform. The winner will also be recognized in front of the Main Stage audience just before the final performance of the festival.
