Hi friends!! I hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas and New Years. Many of you asked for me to post after the holidays about my missions trip I am going on in March. I am still looking at raising money. I will post my Venmo if you would still like to donate. I also have found a new hobby in bread making, artisan bread to be exact, and homemade butter. So far the loafs have been a HIT!! Right now I am only making plain loafs but I will try to start adding inclusions soon. I thought this would be a great way to raise money. I have the amazing opportunity to serve on a missions trip to the LA Dream Center with my church, Citygate, in March 2025.
The Los Angeles Dream Center was founded over twenty years ago by Pastor Matthew Barnett. He was greatly compelled to make an impact in LA by addressing people’s physical, mental, and spiritual needs in a unique and practical way. The Dream Center has now grown into a full facility that reaches well over thirty thousand people each week through its ministries. While at the Dream Center, we will be serving the center and community in various ways. We will spend time every day going into the surrounding community ministering to those in need. Some of the ways we will be serving are by passing out food to those living homeless on Skid Row, playing with and encouraging neglected children from gang infested neighborhoods, and ministering directly to people living in crack-houses and cardboard boxes.
In preparation for my trip, I am in need of lots of prayer. Prayers for safety, guidance, and most importantly for open doors to show the love of Jesus, and to share the gospel! Besides prayer, I am also looking for people to come alongside me financially to help support my trip. My goal is to raise $1,400 dollars before March. More specifically the payment schedule is $600 due on January 8, $600 due on February 3, and $200 due on February 28. This money helps cover room and board, three meals a day, plane ticket, and transportation.
