Mission Nutrition 2025 - A Lakeville Community Meal Packing Event

Saturday November 1st, 2025 | Lakeville Heritage Center | Lakeville, MN

The Lakeville Lions and Lakeville Rotary are teaming up once again for a powerful community meal packing event – Mission Nutrition 2025! This year, we are inviting YOU, our Lakeville area community members, to roll up your sleeves and be part of the impact! Together, with your help, our goal is to pack 10,000 meals which equate to 60,000 servings for our local area food shelves just in time for the holiday season. To make this happen we are asking for 180 community volunteers to come together as a team and make this event a success for our community members in need of food assistance. Please register for either the morning or afternoon shift. Each shift is 2.5 hours in duration.

Saturday Morning Shift: 8:30am Arrival - 11:00am end of shift

Saturday Afternoon Shift: 11:30am Arrival - 2:00pm end of shift

This meal packing event is being funded the Lakeville Rotary, Lions Club International Foundation and The Lakeville Lions under the guidance and leadership of the The Outreach Program of BLA .

These great tasting meals are made from raw ingredients and developed by Iowa State University to be both simple and nutritious. With only boiling water needed, each meal is nutrient-dense, packed with protein, vitamins, and minerals, making them both simple to prepare and life-sustaining. After the event, these meals will be distributed to our local area food shelves to support families that are in need.
Interested in volunteering? Register now and get ready for a fun, hands-on experience that makes a real difference! Reserve your volunteer spot now, provided you can work within the following conditions:

• You will be standing for most of the time (2 hour work shift)

• You will be active, wear light clothing, avoid sweatshirts

• You must wear food prep gloves, aprons, and hairnets (Provided)

• Please do not wear jewelry

• Please do not wear hats

• Absolutely "NO" political attire allowed - you will be asked to change

• No cell phones, coffee, water, or snacks are allowed on the packing floor

• Kids that are ages 14-17 can register provided they are partnered with a registered adult. No kids can participate under the age of 14.

• Free Parking Available: Front and Back of Heritage Center, City Hall (Other side of Holyoke), and street parking on Heritage Drive (North of Heritage Center). DO NOT park in Fire Department lot

This year we will be packing around 10,000 meals containing almost 60,000 servings! The meals will be donated to 360 Communities, Lakeville Messiah Food Shelf, The Link, Open Door, and CAP Agency
