OverviewTheory knowledge supported with scenario-based response training to run through an overview and practical based dry and wet run scenario of the Missing Person At Sea Response.
All SLSNZ members are invited to attend.
Event Lifeguards are required for the IRB Water Safety Team and as support to the rescue swimmers.
Rescue Swimmers are ideally senior Lifesaving Sport, and Surf Lifeguards who are confident and competent swimmers.
Please ensure you hold all relevant, current and refreshed qualifications for the position you are intending to participate as.
Duration:
2-hour scenario covering theory overview, dry practice and wet scenario

Who should attend:
Anyone that is able to assist with a missing person at sea response specifically intended for club events, trainings, Lifesaving Sport events or Sunday Nippers.

Officials – Uniforms, whistles
Event Lifeguards/IRB Event Water Safety Team - PPE for required task
Event Lifeguards - Wetsuit, Togs, Towel, Fins, Goggles, SLG Rash top
Rescue Swimmers - Wetsuit, Togs, Towel, Fins, Goggles
