High Mass for the Feast of St Michael and All Angels will be sung to Haydn's dramatic "Mass in Time of War", more commonly known as the "Paukenmesse", because of its prominent use of timpani.The mass will be celebrated by the Rector, Fr Clive Caesar; and the St Michael's Chamber Orchestra (leader Matthew Stead) and Choir will be conducted by Deon Irish. The soloists are Elsabe Richter, Lente Louw, Willem Bester, Ntando Ngcume and Keaton Manwaring.
All are welcome. As seating is unreserved, you are advised to come in good time.
