About this Event
Established in 1987, The Miss Black & Old Gold Pageant celebrates its 35th year of uplifting and recognizing the talents of undergraduate women at Clemson University. The Pi Alpha Chapter consistently crowns a chapter Miss Black & Gold that has gone on to win state and regional titles within the Black & Gold Pageant circuit as well as Miss America & Miss USA circuits. The pageant serves to recognize the intelligence, talent, and beauty of our university women. Participating in the Miss Black and Gold Scholarship Pageant not only helps young women pay for college, it also provides an opportunity to gain additional life experience, enhance their personal and professional skills, and helps to develop performance-related and other talents. The pageant is open to all undergraduate women who representing various cultural, academic, and social backgrounds—with the award not only being the crown and recognition but also a scholarship to support academic endeavors
