About this Event
An exclusive celebration of elegance, creativity, and purpose, raising funds for a worthy cause! Together, we can empower, uplift, and transform lives..
We invite you to a special fundraising dinner with Miss Africa GB 2024 2025, Deborah Mungai.
Join us as we come together to empower and uplift young boys in Nairobi’s informal settlements. In partnership with Mngaro Mtaani, we aim to support the Boy Child Project, providing vocational training in ICT, electrical engineering, beauty, and barbering to 100 boys from underserved slum communities.
Charity begins at home. In the UK, our project helps youths engage meaningfully with their gadgets, addressing issues like eroded attention spans, mental health challenges, and harmful content exposure. With the rise of digital dependency, we aim to foster healthier digital habits and promote positive engagement..
Why This Matters
Youth unemployment is a critical issue in Nairobi's slums, where young people face challenges like crime, lack of education, and economic exclusion. Without meaningful opportunities, many are forced into unstable jobs with no prospects.
By guiding youths on constructive technology use, providing mental health support, ensuring safe digital spaces, and encouraging balanced online and offline lives, we empower them to use technology for learning, creativity, and personal growth.
We believe in leaving no one behind.
This initiative addresses key challenges such as:
✅ High youth unemployment causing financial instability.
✅ Limited job opportunities and informal work.
✅ Lack of access to quality education and vocational training.
✅ Barriers to entrepreneurship and economic exclusion.
✅ Excessive screen time and mental health challenges.
✅ Social media overuse and low productivity.
✅ Digital addiction and reduced real-world skills.
Our Goal
Through your support, we aim to provide practical training for 100 boys in Kenya and help UK youth engage meaningfully with their gadgets, learn new skills, and encourage innovation. We will partner with local businesses in partnership with Mngaro Mtaani for internships and in UK councils, charities, schools, and community groups for workshops, mentoring, and talks.
Our approach includes:
- Skills Development: Training in ICT, electrical engineering, beauty, and barbering.
- Entrepreneurial Support: Providing starter kits to launch their businesses.
- Community Impact: A network of empowered youth contributing positively to society.
- Excessive Screen Exposure: Work with schools, local councils, and charities to facilitate workshops and mentoring programs for youth in the UK.
