We would love to have you and your Peruvian community join Archbishop Ed Weisenburger at the Mass on Oct 5 at 2:30 -- at the Cathedral -- to celebrate the World Day of Migrants and Refugees with the theme, "Migrants: Missionaries of Hope."Specifically, it would be fabulous if you (or a rep of the group) could bring up a symbol at the Offertory similar to last year's procession. Here is what we ask:
Wear traditional dress, and by 2:15 PM meet the other symbol carriers at the front entrance of Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, 9844 Woodward Ave, Detroit.
Present your one symbol to the Archbishop to be placed on the altar.
Write one sentence that represents how your symbol represents the struggle or hope of your immigrant community! You will read your sentence into a microphone.
