Miro Street has grown quickly, with lots of new homes and apartments — but the street layout hasn’t kept up. There’s limited off-street parking which means space is tight for everyone. Residents have raised concerns about vehicles parking on the grass berms and the impact this has on pedestrian safety and accessibility.We’re proposing a practical, cost-effective solution that improves safety, provides more parking, and makes it easier for everyone to get around, using the existing road space.
By changing Miro Street, between Matai Street and Hinau Street, to one-way, we can add extra parking spaces, easing parking pressure and improving access with minimal disruption.
