Minstrels In The Gallery, a 5-piece band based in Massachusetts, presents concerts that evoke the peak years of British rock giants Jethro Tull, featuring multi-instrumental wunderkind Chris Devine in the role of Ian Anderson.
Devine is a veteran of both rock and classical stages in the US and overseas, including a long stint as featured soloist with metal guitar icon Ritchie Blackmore of Deep Purple. In costume and in character, he and the Minstrels play dead-on renditions of all the familiar Tull songs of that period, together with a spontaneous, relaxed, and humorous presence onstage that truly engages the audience.
Cady Coleman, the ISS astronaut who duetted with Anderson from orbit, calls the Minstrels “Astonishing..compelling, incomparable!”; Jamie Glaser, guitarist with Jean-Luc Ponty, Chick Corea, and The Manhattan Transfer termed them “super cool, amazingly talented…mind-boggling”; and past producers of their sold-out shows have called Minstrels in the Gallery “a phenomenon” and “a musical and theatrical hat trick of talent.”
