The community-based foundation, located in Snellville, GA, houses Gwinnett-NSBE JR, the student chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers.</h4>
The chapter, which serves STEM-focused middle and high school-age students in Gwinnett County and from across the Atlanta metropolitan area, is a reformation of an NSBE Jr. chapter formed in 2009.
Since its inception, the chapter mentors have forged successful event partnerships with Microsoft, Georgia Tech, Emory University, Spelman College, Turner Broadcasting, Six Flags Corporation, Hi-Res Studios, and numerous other technology-based organizations, businesses, and institutions. Notably, JJSJF's sister summer program, MIT/NASA's curriculum–based Zero Robotics, was the 2019 Regional Winner in its category, a testament to our commitment to excellence.
JJSJF student alumni include engineers, computer scientists, medicine, and professionals working in other areas of STEM.
