Hello to All of Our Competitive Players ,Our next MINNE TOURNAMENT Event will be on Friday, December 26th, 2025 from 5pm to 11pm with check-in starting at 430pm to 450pm. The MINNE TOURNAMENT Event will be held on courts 1 through 4. Teams can register by following the process listed below.
Please note that we will also have an Open Gym Event the same day as the MINNE TOURNAMENT, but on courts 5 to 8.

🏐 TEAM COMPOSITION :
▪︎Teams may have all men, all women or any combination of men/woman players.
▪︎All Teams must have a minimum of 6 players and a maximum of 9 players.
▪︎Any changes to your team's roster must be made by 12:00pm on Friday, December 26th, 2025. No exceptions.
▪︎Advance Division Teams must have a minimum of BB or higher level players.
▪︎Intermediate Division Teams must have a minimum of B level players. Teams in this Division are allowed to have a MAXIMUM of 2 players at BB or higher level on their team. Teams with more than 2 BB or higher players will be disqualified.
🏐 MINNI TOURNAMENT RULES for ALL DIVISIONS :
The tournament will use current International Rules. Below are some links for reference.

Players should note the following:
▪︎ All players must rotate or lose a point for 'Out of Rotation'. Players should use 5/1, 6/2, 4/2, box rotation, etc.
▪︎ Players can release from stacking formation after the toss of the serve.
▪︎ A sub may rotate in only for the same player except for the libero who may sub in for either of the middle hitters when in back row.
▪︎ In pursuit you may not enter another court at any point. In doing so it would result in a touch out of bounce.
🏐 COMPETITION:
ROUND ROBIN (Approximately 5:00pm-9:00pm)
▪︎ All nets will be set to men's height
▪︎ There will be 3 matches of 2 sets per pool.
▪︎ A five minute warm-up will be allotted before each new match, not each set
▪︎ Teams will play matches of 2 x 21 point games; first team to 21pts wins that set.
▪︎ Seeding for Bracket Play (finals) will be based on Round Robin Qualifier Points that will be awarded to teams based on match outcome in pool play:
2 wins = 3pts
1 win or Split/Tie = 1 pt each
2 losses = 0 pts.
▪︎ Teams will play matches in order according to the schedule.
▪︎ Off teams in each pool will rotate duties to referee/score keep/ linesman as per schedule.
▪︎ Top 2 Teams from each pool will advance to Semi-finals.
SEMI-FINALS and FINALS (Approximately 9:00pm-1030pm)
▪︎Semi-finals and final matches will be best 2 out of 3, 25/25/15pts game with caps at 29/29/19
▪︎Schedule will be posted after Round Robin Qualifier.
▪︎Referees will be provided for Semi-finals and Finals

$ 1st Place Team Wins up to $600 (based on full capacity) + Medals
+ MINNI Tournament Championship T-shirts

PRIZES for INTERMEDIATE Division:
$ 1st Place Team Wins up to $400 (based on full capacity) + Medals

🏐 REGISTRATION PROCESS
Please, read and understand the instructions below before starting pre-registration. Registration will end on Sunday, December 21th at 11.59 pm. Teams that intend to participate in the MINNE TOURNAMENT, please follow the steps below :
1) PRE-REGISTRATION
To have your team pre-registered, your team captain will need to place the following in the comment section of this post (below)in this listed order:
▪︎ The Division your team will compete in.
▪︎ Team name
▪︎ Captain full name
▪︎ All team players full name
Wait for confirmation by the admin in the comment section to verify that you are pre-registered. Admin will also update your team's name onto this FB post.
2) REGISTRATION (*** IMPORTANT ***)
Once your team is pre-registered, the next step will be to complete your registration. Your team captain or a member of your team will then need to pay the $200 team registration fee via Venmo account Volaris OGV or in cash on any Friday Open Gym Event.
For this tournament, ALL costs are combined into 1 fee. This fee will include
All Cash Prizes, Championship T-shirts, Medals, Court Rental,
Paid Referees and Score-keepers (for final matches),
Tournament staffing,
Event Supplies
Combo Meal for all MINNE Tournament Players (includes 1 meal, 1 side and 1 drink)
If paying by Venmo, please include your team's name. Payment should be made within 48 hours after we confirm your team is pre-registered via Facebook post. If payment is not made after 48 hours of your team's pre-registration confirmation, your team will be removed and made available for the next team. Once your payment is confirmed, your team will officially be registered.
3) POOL DRAW
On Tuesday, December 23rd Tournament Administrators will draw teams (randomly via ballot box) for each pool/court they will play in/on during the Round Robin in each Division. Schedules for team play and refereeing/score-keeping slots in Round Robin will be posted on.
4) ROSTERS
Teams will have until 12:00pm (noon) on Friday, December 26th to make any adjustments to their rosters.
5) CHECK-IN
On tournament day, check-in for Players starts @ 4:30pm to 4:50pm ONLY.

During check-in, players must present ID to validate their name is on the roster.
aptain's Meeting @ 4:40pm. Team Captains will be informed of tournament rules, any changes and answer any questions. Captain's will also be given 1 meal voucher for each of their players.
Tournament Round Robin starts @ 5:00pm SHARP !
SPECTATORS :
Spectators allowed after 5:00pm. Admissions for spectators is $3 cash at check-in.
Spectators are not allowed to play on the courts.
CONCESSIONS
Beverages, snacks and warm food will be available for purchase.
