Did you know that mining is Nevada's original S.T.E.M. industry? Mining employs a highly trained and highly skilled workforce, providing a wide range of career opportunities, including equipment operators, geologists, accountants, and engineers.In this workshop, girls will explore different aspects of mining using fun, hands-on activities. Girls will use logbooks to track their observations, make a rock collection and study it, explore how different types of rocks are formed, learn about autonomous drilling, and practice small-scale mining.

Girls will earn the Mining in Today's World Patch.
