Our panel will talk about the results of groundbreaking research to develop a new national benchmark - defined by members of the public - for what families need today to engage with online opportunities safely and confidently: the Minimum Digital Living Standard for Households with Children. With survey results showing that 3.7m families fall below the standard (over 4 in 10 UK families), this raises important questions for policy and services affecting families - especially families already experiencing hardship. In this 60 minute interactive session, we'll give delegates the chance to quiz the researchers, propose policy solutions, suggest how the standard can be used, and explore the 'MDLS Map' to see the likelihood of families falling below the MDLS in their region.
