Come make the tiniest holiday cookies at THEMUSEUM with Miniature Veg! In this 2-hour workshop you will learn some of the basics of creating miniature foods using polymer clay.Together we will mix clay to achieve realistic colours, shape the pieces and add details using clay & clay tools, and bake them together in a toaster oven. You will make your own one-of-a-kind box or plate of tiny holiday cookies to take home. All supplies will be provided.
Please note: Polymer clay miniatures can be challenging to make if you have long nails. This workshop is best suited for folks aged 10+. These are polymer clay cookies, and are not edible.
About Miniature Veg
Kiana Simmons is an Ottawa based miniaturist who is constantly playing I spy out & about in the world. Kiana’s art has always featured the small, the cute and the colourful. Their love of growing & eating vegetables translated into their first miniature vegetable creations during summer of 2020, at the kitchen table with their mom. Through their business, Miniature Veg, they have hosted over 75 travelling polymer clay miniature food workshops since February 2024 across Canada & abroad. Kiana manages the Ottawa Miniature Gallery, and runs monthly workshops in Ottawa and other Ontario cities. This workshop will be held in THELOUNGE. Doors will open at 5:30pm.
