Mini Wooden Flag Workshop 🇺🇸
Join us for an exclusive and hands-on workshop where you'll create your own custom charred and optionally painted American flag! Led by Jay Coppock from "Charred and Starred," this intimate event is designed for Veterans who want to explore the art of flag making in a supportive and creative environment.
About the Workshop: In this special session, you'll learn the techniques of crafting mini wooden American flags, with the option to add a unique charred finish and custom paint. Jay Coppock, the expert behind "Charred and Starred," will guide you through each step, sharing his passion and expertise to help you create a one-of-a-kind piece.
Workshop Details:
- Date: Tuesday, March 25, 2025
- Time: 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
- Location: Friendswood, TX (Exact location will be provided upon registration.)
- Facilitator: Jay Coppock, Founder of Charred and Starred
- Materials: All materials will be provided during the workshop.
How to Participate: This workshop is open to Veterans and offers an intimate learning experience with only 10 participants.

About the Facilitator: Jay Coppock
Jay Coppock is a native Texan and recently retired from his position as COO of Associated Credit Union of Texas (ACU of Texas) after 36+ years in the financial services industry. He is currently the executive director of the non-profit SERVE - South East Resource Veterans Effort, for the past 9 years and currently is an active board member for various organizations including, the Rotary Club of Greater Houston Veterans, Clear Lake Chamber of Commerce, Galveston County CISM and Stay Tuned For Vets.
Jay has been married for nearly 36 years to his lovely bride Lauri, has three children, and 7 grandchildren. Together they own a custom wooden flag company called Charred and Starred where they craft beautiful one-of-a-kind flags to honor our military and first responders. When he isn’t making flags, Jay loves to play golf and hang out with his friends and family.
