Join us for a mini craft session on Sashiko mending and embroidery. Sashiko is an ancient Japanese stitching technique that involves using a running stitch to join two pieces of fabric, making them more durable and adding decorative patterns.These Mini Craft Sessions, give you an introduction to different aspects of mending and zero-waste sewing. This session is a free drop-in event. Suitable for 16+
These sessions take place in the Lend & Mend area on the 1st floor of the AK Bell Library.
All attendees must have completed a short Lend and Mend induction before attending the event, to familiarise yourself with the space and equipment. You can book your induction at the library by contacting the library at [email protected] or phoning 01738 444949.
