About this Event
Kids who participate in the Mini Archaeology Excavation Unit activity will excavate their own table top archaeology unit. They will pick away at the dirt until they find artifacts buried in the mini archaeology unit (a pre-made block composed of sand, plaster, and mock artifacts). During this activity participants will learn about the steps archaeologists take in the field during a real excavation, and how archaeologist analyze what they discovery in the lab once they return from the field.
All supplies for this hands-on activity are provided. The program will take place under a tent in the garden of Parker Annex Archaeology Center. Parents and guardians must remain with minors at all times.
