Race Format
Adults will qualify to race by winning 1 race out of 10 attempts (nationals/Japan cup style qualifying), qualifiers will then race till a winner is found (both Tuned and Pro classes).
Qualifying cards will be given out at the beginning of the day, each racer will have 10 attempts to get 1 win to qualify for the main race, qualifying will be done 5 racers per race for 1 hour (or less depending on numbers), once qualifying has concluded only racers with 1 or more wins may proceed through to the main race.
Main race format will be 5 randomly drawn racers racing together at a time with the top 2 from each race going on to the next round, until an overall winner is found.
Kids will have 1 hour (or less depending on numbers) free practice per class, racing will be our usual double elimination Challonge format.
Prizes/Trophies – Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 in each class. Trophies to keep will be awarded for the top 3 in each class, the overall winners of Auckland Cup Junior (Kids Tuned) and Auckland Cup Senior (Adults Pro) will be awarded the Auckland Cup trophies to keep until the next Auckland Cup.
Tech Inspection – Any cars to be raced at Auckland Cup will be inspected at the beginning of the event, cars found to be non-compliant will need to be bought up to spec and reinspected before being allowed to compete.
Once qualifying is complete only 1 car may be used for the racing.
Top 3 in each class (4th on standby) will be inspected post racing, any vehicle found to be non compliant will be disqualified.
North Harbour Mini 4wd rules apply, any and all decisions made by NHM4wd race officials are final.

Food – The kitchen will be running throughout the day with our usual selection of refreshments - cold drinks, snacks and hot food (pies, sausage rolls & hot dogs).
Totara Hobbies will also have their great range of car kits and hop-up parts available for purchase, with both cash and EFTPOS options.
