The Midlands Investor Networking Group (M.I.N.G) was established in 2016 to bring together professionals in the property industry, including developers, investors, and solicitors.

Hosted by Mark Burrows and Vicky Chittock, our monthly daytime events attract 60+ property enthusiasts, providing opportunities to network, learn from guest speakers, and form meaningful connections.

Known as MING, this group has been a cornerstone of the property investment community for nearly eight years.

Jim Haliburton, a former Law Lecturer, started property investing in 1991, focusing on HMOs after realizing their income potential. Transitioning to full-time investing in 2003, he aimed to acquire 50 properties before a market shift, which he achieved within 18 months. Today, he owns 130 HMOs, 30 Single Let properties, and 19 Lease Option Properties, totaling over 800 rooms. Managing his portfolio, he founded J9 Accommodation and HMO Daddy, emphasizing property acquisition and education

"John Ireland was a financial adviser for over 30 years and ran his own successful IFA firm until 2012 when he decided to become a full time Estate Planner.Having taken Will instructions for since 1996, John realised that there was growing need for comprehensive advice helping clients to protect their assets.An accomplished public speaker, John is a regular on the property event circuit, presenting around 35 talks a year on asset protection, Wills, Trusts and Lasting Powers of Attorney.Whilst this is often viewed as a dry subject, John’s mixture of humour and his ability to engage with the audience is unique and an event not to be missed.He is well known for his passion in helping his clients protect their assets without using jargon and many of the top earners in the property sector have used John for his depth of knowledge and the care he takes to help."
