Mindfulness Storytime at Eastgate Library is a program for pre-school aged children, partnering with the Family Justice Center! We meet on the first and third Fridays of the month from 10:00-10:30 am. Each month Sonya Reaves, FJC Education Coordinator, leads us through Mindfulness Storytime with activities including storytimes, yoga, songs, breathing exercises, and activities relating to interpersonal connections and handling big feelings. Emma leads the yoga portion with fun breathing exercises, stretches, and positive affirmations!
Each month will explore new themes:
September: Trust– Respecting and trusting the decisions of your friends
October: Inclusion– The value of including everyone
November: Respect- Respecting differences in opinions
December: Support– Encouraging and lifting up others
