What is mindfulness? Mindfulness simply means paying attention to the present moment, with awareness and without judgement.
In mindfulness we use an object/anchor of attention to focus our minds; examples of an object can be our breath, sensations in our bodies, the taste of our food, sensations of walking, an object in nature etc.
Mindfulness strengthens our present moment neural pathways, helping us to be more present
with the things that matter in our lives, such as when engaging with our families, friends, at work, or during activities we enjoy, so we can spend less time living in our heads, thinking
about the past, or the future.
