Please join NSIMC teacher Effie Stavrulaki and Great Bay Tai Chi instructor Pam Jacobson at Internal Arts New England in Salisbury as they continue their exploration of Mindfulness in Stillness and Motion - a program that alternates periods of sitting meditation with the gentle movements of qigong. Mindfulness is the capacity to pay attention to the present moment, on purpose, in a friendly, curious, and open way. Bringing more mindful moments to our daily lives enhances our physical and psychological wellbeing. We can strengthen our ability to be more mindful with both formal sitting meditation practice as well as with mindful movement, via a practice such as qigong. As in past such workshops, we will practice in silence with alternating sitting and movement forms. There will be time for questions and debriefing at the end. No experience with meditation or qigong is needed - all are welcome.
Effie Stavrulaki is a meditation teacher with NSIMC as well as a management professor at Bentley University (northshoreimc.org). Pam Jacobson is a tai chi and qigong instructor with Great Bay Tai Chi (greatbaytaichima.com).
