Mindfulness for everyday use - A small support group for helping with health and mental health throughout the pandemic.
According to the government guidelines and Public Health England, we can proudly offer online and physical support groups to help people through the pandemic.
This workshop is one of many to offer support to those that need it. It is important that we offer avenues for people to find mental health tools for their toolkit, find more sanctuary and safe spaces within themselves, as well as build strength and resilience, despite the outside circumstances.
The aim is for individuals to explore and learn easy to apply methods of bringing mindfulness into their everyday lives. Based on the principles of Jon Kabat -Zinn, this course will show in a very simplistic and interactive way the differing types of Mindfulness such as breadth, body scan, stillness in the moment, walking and eating (using all the senses, as a barometer)
The intention for this course is for individuals to learn new ways of bringing stillness, and a sense of peace and calm to their busy minds, through proven research based technique’s and principles.
Audience: For individuals new to mindfulness or those wanting a refresher. For anyone interested in easy to follow techniques and processes to bring some stillness into their mind and body (reduce/eliminate mind chatter, support good mental health). Within this hour and a half you will be invited to connect with yourself, to find your safe space. Some weeks there will be some gentle mindfulness movement to release tension and unnecessary stress and aid more relaxation, inner sense awareness as well as overall self connection.
