At its best the supervision is a reflective, relational, transformative, and collaborative process. Supervisees often witness the darkest side of human experience. How does this affect them and how do they cope? How can supervision help regulate and transform painful experience? How can transformed supervisee’s way of being influence sessions?
All these questions are the focus of mindfulness- and compassion-oriented integrative supervision. Maša is an assistant professor at the University of Primorska and director of the Institute for integrative psychotherapy and counselling, Ljubljana, and Gregor is professor of clinical psychology at the University of Ljubljana. They are international trainers and supervisors of integrative supervision and co-authors of the book Mindfulness and Compassion in Integrative Supervision , published by Routledge.
