Join us online Monday January 13th for six weeks
Timing is from 7:00 - 8:30 pm PST
Mindful Self-Compassion is a resource and a skill that can help improve our emotional well-being, improve our ability to cope with life’s challenges, lower levels of anxiety and depression, promote healthy habits such as diet and exercise, and lead to more satisfying personal relationships.
Cultivating self-compassion can fundamentally shift how we relate to ourselves and our anxiety. Instead of meeting challenges with self-blame and criticism, we can learn to care for ourselves as much as we would care for someone we love. We can learn to bring kind and mindful attention to our experiences (thoughts, emotions, and sensations) and a sense of love and care to ourselves, right amid difficult situations.
Research shows that mindfulness and self-compassion are resources that can reduce anxiety, depression, and stress while at the same time improving life satisfaction, relationships, and health habits.
What to expect
This program is highly experiential. In each class, we will present some theory and introduce a new practice to try. You will have the opportunity to experience the practice for yourself and then self-reflect individually, as well as in small groups if comfortable (optional). We ask that participants keep their video monitor and their microphone muted during sessions (unless speaking to the group). The classes will not be recorded to protect confidentiality.

Commitment
Because we are committed to co-creating a safe and compassionate learning environment. To help create that environment attendance is required for the first session. If you cannot make the first session please let us know so we can offer your spot to someone on our waiting list. Each week builds on the learning of the learning of previous weeks and we ask that participants commit to attending at least 5 out of 6 sessions.
