Join us for a 6-week Mindful Parenting course. This is aimed at parents and carers of young children and young teens. During the course we will be looking initially at our own wellbeing, noting that how we are directly affects how our children are. We know that how we are, how we respond to the stresses and strains of daily life, impacts more on our children than anything that we say to them. We need to be able to show our children how to respond to the emotional stressors in life - rather than being pulled along reactively to these.In this 6-week course we learn how to be more present for our children, how to be with our difficulties without being overwhelmed and how to bring a sense of calm and ease into family life. As well as having the opportunity to share practices in the sessions, there is a handbook full of practices to share with your children.
The 6-week course costs £150, however, if you book before the end of October, you can take advantage of our early-bird offer. This takes the price down to £120. We do also have two reduced rate spaces at £80. You can also set up a payment plan - paying a £50 deposit now. The full amount must be paid before the sessions start.
The sessions run from Sunday 19th January to 2nd March, 3-5pm. Please note that there is no session on 16th February.

Session 4: Mindfulness of Feelings
Session 5: Managing the Big Feelings with Self-Compassion
Session 6: Nourishing Happiness and Gratitude.

Meet Your facilitator:
Susie will be your facilitator for these sessions. Susie worked as a Social Worker within Criminal Justice for 20 years, and is passionate about helping people to make difficult changes. Since the beginning of 2017, Susie has been delivering mindfulness within her local community in Falkirk. She co-founded Pause & Breathe CIC with her husband, Phil Blackburn and is delighted to have opened The Place to Pause & Breathe in Bonnybridge and The Place for Martial Arts & Wellbeing in Bo'ness - bringing people together in community. Susie is a Mindfulness Coach and a certified Daring to Rest Facilitator. Her approach is trauma-sensitive, and she is an advocate of giving participants choice in everything she offers.
