About this Event
We are able to compensate our practice leaders fairly AND offer this program for free for all participants thanks to donations from everyday people like you and me. Thank you for supporting community well-being! If you’d like to become a donor, you may do so on our website.
We invite you to join us for quiet walking and mindfulness practices in a small group setting. Every Body Welcome! Our Mindful Nature Walks include periods of quiet observation, movement, and a variety of prompts and activities you may try. This practice is a gentle way to return to a sense of ease in the body and ease in the breathing as we walk near water, big trees, and wildlife and observe the world we are a part of. No special knowledge or experience needed. Come as you are and just be yourself!
This practice is suitable for all ages and abilities. We move at a slow pace, on some paved, gravel, grass, and dirt surfaces. Please note that the Washington Park Family Center is closed on Sundays, so there are no restrooms available during this event time.
Thank you for being vaccinated against COVID and taking care to support the health and well being of those around you.
Where: Washington Park. We will meet outside the Washington Park Family Center. There is a parking lot across from the Family Center, as well as stops for IndyGo Route 30 nearby. – Click for Google Map.
Note: We walk rain or shine, except in hazardous conditions such as lightning or ice. Make sure to dress for the weather!
When: 2-3:30 p.m. on these Sundays: February 25, May 26, September 29, and December 22. RSVP to join us! This is part of our Mindful Nature Walk Series that explores greenspaces around Indianapolis, thanks to the support of Indianapolis Parks. View our full practice schedule for more details.
